A visa run essentially means leaving Vietnam briefly and then re-entering to be issued a new tourist visa. This allows you to remain in Vietnam longer than the duration of a single visa. The most popular place to do a visa run from Ho Chi Minh City is the Moc Bai border crossing between Vietnam and Cambodia.
Moc Bai is a border crossing that links Vietnam to Cambodia’s Svay Rieng Province, and it’s situated in Tay Ninh Province, about 80 kilometers northwest of Ho Chi Minh City’s city center. Due to its close distance to HCMC, affordable visa fees, and straightforward immigration processes on both sides, the border gate is a famous option for visa runs.

Finally, complete your visa run by re-entering Vietnam with a new visa:
- Return to the Vietnam immigration building
- Join the “Nhap Canh” (entry) queue

Hi,
Just a heads up, I went to the 23/9 bus station today in Ho Chi Minh to get the 703 bus and it wasn’t there, I asked at the information desk and they said it is no longer running 😞 i managed to get transport from one of the agents along the road quiet easily but was a lot more expensive. It is a shame about the local buses though
