Working Time & Office Hours: Vietnam Embassy in Turkey

Planning your visit or application timing is crucial to avoid delays. In 2026, the Vietnam Embassy in Ankara maintains fixed hours for physical consular services (like document legalization), while our Digital Emergency Desk remains operational 24/7 to support travelers at Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW).

Under the guidance of Stanley Ho, CEO of Visaonlinevietnam (Transocean), we ensure that no traveler is left without support, regardless of the time or day.

1. Official Embassy Hours (Ankara)

For physical submissions, passport collection, and legalizations, the Embassy operates on the following schedule:

Day Morning Session Afternoon Session
Monday 09:00 – 12:00 14:00 – 17:00
Tuesday 09:00 – 12:00 14:00 – 17:00
Wednesday 09:00 – 12:00 14:00 – 17:00
Thursday 09:00 – 12:00 14:00 – 17:00
Friday 09:00 – 12:00 14:00 – 17:00
Saturday Closed Closed
Sunday Closed Closed
  • Note: The Consular Section is typically busiest on Monday mornings. We recommend scheduling your visit for mid-week if possible.

2. 2026 Holiday Closures (Non-Working Days)

The Embassy will be closed on both Turkish National Holidays and Vietnamese Public Holidays. Please plan accordingly:

Major 2026 Closures:

  • Jan 1: New Year’s Day.

  • Jan 28 – Feb 2: Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) – Critical closure period.

  • Apr 23: National Sovereignty and Children’s Day (Turkey).

  • May 19: Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day (Turkey).

  • Sept 2: Vietnam Independence Day.

  • Oct 29: Republic Day (Turkey).

3. 24/7 Emergency Visa Desk (Istanbul & Global)

While the physical Embassy doors close at 17:00, travel emergencies do not follow a schedule. If you are at the airport on a Saturday night and realize you have no visa, the standard office hours do not apply.

The Stanley Ho Emergency Guarantee:

Our emergency API channel with the Vietnam Immigration Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.

  • WhatsApp Support: (+84)968 18 77 18

  • Emergency Processing: 1-Hour and 4-Hour approvals are available even when the Embassy in Ankara is closed.

4. Expert Advice: Timing Your Application

“A common mistake Turkish travelers make is applying on a Friday afternoon via the government portal,” says Stanley Ho. “Because the Immigration Department in Vietnam closes for the weekend, that ‘Friday’ application won’t even be looked at until Monday morning. If you are flying on Sunday, you must use our Emergency Weekend Service to secure your boarding pass.”
